Issue 23/2026 — I.D.P. Drives Dispute Mediation and Strengthens Community Justice in Nakhon Si Thammarat

June 12, 2026

The Institute for Education and Development of Conflict Management by Peaceful Means Foundation (I.D.P.), led by its President, Mrs. Prakairatana Thontiravong, alongside a team of expert speakers, recently traveled to serve as guest lecturers at the 90th “Dispute Mediation According to the Dispute Mediation Act, B.E. 2562 (2019)” Training Program. The event took place at the Twin Lotus Hotel in Mueang District, Nakhon Si Thammarat.

The training program, organized by the Nakhon Si Thammarat Provincial Justice Office from June 8 to 12, 2026, invited the I.D.P. leadership in recognition of their extensive legal expertise in dispute mediation. The foundation was entrusted to impart crucial knowledge and share practical experiences on the final day of the training.

The successful program achieved two primary objectives:

  1. Empowering Mediators: Producing and developing qualified mediators in accordance with the Dispute Mediation Act B.E. 2562 to cover all areas of Nakhon Si Thammarat, ensuring they can conduct legal mediation effectively.
  2. Enhancing Community Knowledge: Supporting the administrative working groups of public dispute mediation centers, community justice centers, local leaders, sub-district headmen, village headmen, and the general public. The goal was to foster a correct understanding of mediation laws and to raise awareness regarding citizens’ rights and liberties within the justice system.

The I.D.P. expressed profound pride in contributing to the promotion of legal knowledge, driving peaceful conflict management processes, and strengthening the public’s access to justice at the regional level in a highly tangible way.
