Building on the foundational legal lecture delivered on July 1, Mrs. Prakairatana Thontiravong, President of the Institute for Education and Development of Conflict Management by Peaceful Means Foundation (I.D.P.), alongside a team of experts, advanced to the practical phase of the “14th Training Program on Dispute Mediation and Conflict Management in the Public Healthcare System” under the Dispute Mediation Act B.E. 2562 (2019). The intensive workshop took place at the Grand Richmond Stylish Convention Hotel.

The event focused on transitioning theoretical knowledge into hands-on practice. During the morning session, Mrs. Prakairatana provided an in-depth lecture detailing the steps and procedures for mediating civil, criminal, and public disputes. She utilized simulated scenarios to give participants a clear, comprehensive overview of the mediation process in action.

Following the lecture, the program shifted to a full-scale practical workshop led by Mrs. Prakairatana and six expert facilitators from the I.D.P., who provided close supervision and personalized guidance. This hands-on session allowed medical personnel to engage in role-playing exercises that simulated civil and criminal dispute negotiations.

The primary focus of the workshop was on honing positive communication skills, managing difficult interactions, and regulating personal emotions to effectively de-escalate and resolve potential conflicts within healthcare facilities. This rigorous training significantly enhanced the capabilities of the attendees, empowering them both in their primary roles as public healthcare providers and as certified legal mediators.
