NONTHABURI – The Institute for Education and Development of Conflict Management by Peaceful Means Foundation (I.D.P.) convened its advisory board meeting today at the Riverine Place Sports Club in Nonthaburi.

During the initial session, the Chair, Mrs. Prakairatana Thontiravong, updated the meeting on the foundation’s recent operational achievements. She also announced the Board of Directors’ resolution (No. 1/2026 on April 25, 2026) regarding the official appointment of foundation advisors, who will play a vital role in driving the organization’s overarching mission.
A central agenda item at the meeting was the implementation of the I.D.P. Strategic Plan 2023–2027. This plan aims to develop and execute peaceful conflict resolution systems tailored to the Thai social context. The board engaged in intensive discussions on concrete strategies to foster peaceful conflict management, primarily through the cultivation of “Professional Mediators.” Furthermore, the foundation is actively advocating for the establishment of mediation as a recognized profession in Thailand, drawing inspiration from the successful framework utilized in Singapore.

This gathering underscores the I.D.P. Foundation’s unwavering commitment to its vision of serving as a public benefit organization and a primary pillar for conflict management. By continuously developing and disseminating knowledge, the foundation strives to promote sustainable peace within Thai society. The board has also scheduled its next meeting to ensure the ongoing progress and monitoring of these strategic initiatives.
