This intensive program was organized through a collaborative effort between the Faculty of Political Science and Law at Burapha University and the Rights and Liberties Protection Department, Ministry of Justice. The primary objective is to enhance knowledge and understanding of the correct theories and practices for individuals aspiring to become registered dispute mediators under the law. Furthermore, the initiative provides a valuable platform for knowledge exchange and the establishment of academic cooperation networks among mediators, educational institutions, and relevant government agencies.
During this training, representatives from the I.D.P. Foundation were honored to spearhead the session titled “Civil, Criminal, and Public Issue Dispute Mediation Using Role-Play Scenarios.” The comprehensive session encompassed both theoretical instruction and intensive practical training throughout the day, from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM, at the Faculty of Political Science and Law, Burapha University. Trainees were given the opportunity to hone their negotiation and mediation skills through immersive role-play situations. This hands-on experience is considered a vital component in strengthening the role and potential of dispute mediators, enabling them to perform their duties with maximum efficiency and fairness.
The Institute for Education and Development of Conflict Management by Peaceful Means Foundation (I.D.P.) expressed its profound commitment and pride in transferring its knowledge and expertise on this occasion. The foundation reaffirmed its readiness to serve as a core organization actively supporting alternative justice processes through peaceful means, working collaboratively to resolve disputes, de-escalate conflicts, and foster a sustainably peaceful society.
